Primal Performance Series 185kg Pin-Select - Seated Leg Press
The Primal Performance Series Seated Leg Press is a commercial pin loaded leg press with an upgraded 185 kg weight stack in 5 kg increments and a 150 kg maximum user weight. It covers 1670 × 1375 mm of floor space at 1620 mm high, giving gyms a heavy, guided lower body press without loading plates.
The angled track follows a squat like path, so members can push serious leg volume with the back supported and no bar on their shoulders.
Who it is for
- Commercial gyms that need a heavy leg press on the selectorised line
- Performance centres where athletes want high lower body loads with quick changes
- PT studios training clients who are not ready for loaded barbell squats
- Rehab and older adult programs that want a supported press starting from light loads
Key features
- Upgraded 185 kg pin select stack, adjustable in 5 kg increments
- Angled track designed to mimic the squatting movement
- 150 kg maximum user weight rating
- Heavy duty steel frame with a hard wearing matte black finish
- Double stitched pad covers built for constant commercial use
- Pin select loading, so there are no plates to carry or strip between users
Muscles worked and training uses
Pushing the footplate away along the angled track extends the hips and knees together, much like a squat, with the torso held against the backrest.
- Primary: quadriceps and glutes
- Secondary: hamstrings, calves and the lower back muscles as stabilisers
- Heavy lower body strength work without spinal loading from a barbell
- High rep leg hypertrophy sets and fast drop sets with pin changes
- Calf presses on the footplate as an accessory exercise

Frequently asked questions
How much floor space does the Primal Seated Leg Press need?
It measures 1670 mm long, 1375 mm wide and 1620 mm high. Allowing about 600 mm of clearance around it for access, plan for a zone of roughly 2.9 × 2.6 m.
How heavy is the weight stack?
It has an upgraded 185 kg pin select stack that moves in 5 kg increments, which is more than the 125 kg stacks on most machines in the range.
What ceiling height is needed?
The machine is 1620 mm tall and the user is seated pushing forwards, so any standard 2.4 m ceiling works.
What is the maximum user weight?
Primal rates it for users up to 150 kg.
What warranty comes with it?
Primal Strength offers a full commercial use warranty with 5 years on the frame, 3 years on parts, 1 year on pads, cables, pulleys and wearables, and 1 year labour.
Do you deliver and install in Australia?
Yes. We ship Australia-wide from our Melbourne warehouse, and most metro deliveries arrive 1 to 7 business days after dispatch. The packed weight is 354 kg, so some regional addresses need a freight quote. Use the Ask about this machine form on this page for a delivery and installation quote.
Pair the leg press with the Primal Dual Leg Extension/Leg Curl and Dual Adductor/Abductor for a complete selectorised leg line.
