Frequently asked questions

Do I need the floor stand?

Only if you cannot bolt it to a solid wall. The SkiErg mounts to a wall with the included hardware. The floor stand is sold separately and makes it free standing, on caster wheels, so it can move around the gym or sit in the middle of a room.

How much space does it take?

Wall mounted, allow about 500 mm of wall width and 2160 mm of height, plus room for the user to stand in front. On the floor stand the footprint is 610 x 1320 mm and it stands 2160 mm tall.

Does it need power?

No. The PM5 runs on two D cell batteries and the flywheel charges them while you train.

Is it good for rehab or wheelchair users?

Yes. The movement can be done seated or kneeling, and Concept2 designed the floor stand so most wheelchairs fit underneath it. Resistance scales with effort, so it suits a first session after injury as well as an athlete.

What is the warranty?

Concept2 covers the frame for 5 years and all other parts, including the PM5 monitor, for 2 years. Warranty is handled in Australia through Concept2 Australia and our team.

How does delivery work in Australia?

We deliver Australia-wide. Concept2 machines ship boxed and are quick to assemble with the included tools. Metro deliveries are usually 1 to 7 business days after dispatch.
